I remember the first time I visited Charleston before I moved here. Everything about it was perfect. The ‘guides’ I read didn’t do it justice. Every street, restaurant & shop I visited seemed better than the next. Of all of the things we did and saw in those 3 days, walking through the City Market for the first time was one my favorite memories! There were so many amazing artisans in one place. It’s just one of the reasons I fell in love with Charleston.
Walking through the market I started to smell the most delicious scents. I started looking around to see what it was smelling & there, in a cute little shiplap corner, was Old Whaling Co. I ran over to the shop, smelled every soap, tried every lotion & ultimately bought enough soap to last me for an entire year.
Since we’ve moved here I’ve been lucky enough to stock up on Old Whaling soaps often & I love having them in my guest bathroom for guests to be able to use something Charleston made when they visit! I’ve also used them in multiple gift boxes for my company, Avenue Twenty-One. Old Whaling delivers perfection every. single. time.
This past month though, Old Whaling Co. has outdone themselves and they opened up the most perfect retail location on Broad Street. I was lucky enough to get in there and take pictures of all of the pretty!
Isn’t it the cutest? I’m in love! I also love all of the little extra gifts they have (including some fun oyster shell accessories that are perfect gifts). After you hit up brunch at one of our favorite brunch places on Broad St., make sure to pop by the new Old Whaling Co. & say hello!
